SN 26. Receiver is early Model 1874 style without provision for pellet priming system. Receiver has Sharps Patent markings on left side. Stock with “ESA” (Erskine S. Allin) cartouche. According to Flayderman’s Guide to Antique American Firearms only about 300 of these rare rifles were produced at Springfield Armory.
